18 local residents took part in the event, and helped fill 12 bags of rubbish. Residents told us during a recent street surgery that they felt that Priestnall Field was in poor condition and in patches was strewn with litter, so we organised a community event to help clear up the area.
Local campaigner Cat Sheppard, who organised the event added, “It’s been a great day and we’ve really made a difference in the area, we’re now going to lobby the Council to install a couple of rubbish bins in hotspot areas”.
