To vote in the General Election, and Local by-Election on 8th June, you need to register by 11:59pm on 22nd May
These upcoming elections are important. The General Election will help determine the future course of our country, and the by-election in Brinnington will affect the makeup of Stockport Council.
Exercising your right to vote is important, not only in respect to those who fought for this – but also because the power of those who do not usually vote is enormous.
If under-represented groups such as young people and the less well-off voted to the same extent as the rest of the population, election results- indeed the nature of politics- could be very different.
Stockport Labour want to encourage everyone to vote, and for people to encourage others to do the same on 8th June. You can register to do so here, the process takes just five minutes.
Oh, and of course, remember to VOTE LABOUR ON JUNE 8th
